Motorized cable trolley for round cables with AC or DC technology. Depending on speed and load, it comes with a patented compact drive (0380 series) or with a gear motor (0385 series). The entire system consists of motorized cable trolleys, a frequency converter control for optimizing movement, and cable trolleys from the 0365 and 0375 series.

The requirements of today's systems, especially in container handling, often exceed the physical limitations of conventional systems when it comes to speed, acceleration and cable package weight. The application of motorized cable trolleys in combination with non-motorized cable trolleys allows for controlled acceleration and deceleration. This synchronization with the consumer makes it possible to considerably  increase the travel speeds of the entire system. In addition, wear and maintenance work are reduced substantially, increasing the operational availability of the whole facility, and minimizing overall costs.

FAQ

When are the Cable Trolley XL-Line Series 0380 / 0385 used?

Particularly on Ship-To-Shore container cranes with travelling speeds up to 300 m/min.

How does a motorized I-Beam System work?

Two or three motorized festoon trolleys are operating together with passive trolleys from the 0366 or 0375 series. The motorized trolleys are frequency driven to optimize movement of the complete festoon system and to compensate for dynamical loads.

How is the energy and data transmitted?

Energy and data are transmitted via flexible flat or round cable packages. Any cable used must be suitable for use in a festoon system. Various types of cable with PUR or rubber insulation are available.

What is the typical track profile?

The system is operating exclusively on parallel I-beams. The possible I-beam types have been standardised IPE 240; 250 x125 x 6 x 9; W 8 x 18 ;

Are I-Beam Festoon Systems for indoor or outdoor use?

I-Beam Festoon Systems can be used both indoors and outdoors.

What are the typical wear parts?

Besides the rollers and the buffers of the trolley, the components of the belt drive are also subject to wear.
